Passive Programs are opportunities for self-directed learning, practicing gross and fine motor skills, and problem-solving. A family came into the library and the grandma was surprised to see a Gingerbread Early Literacy Station. Her granddaughter was quick to inform her grandma, “They always have an activity at the library.” Passive Programs are also one my favorite programs in the library because they require little preparation and are available to children whenever the library is open!
